Kobe Sandy
Kobe Sandy born and raised in Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago, is a two-time Youth Parliamentarian, four-time National Youth Award Nominee and Awardee and has been a youth advocate for over 13 years nationally, regionally, and internationally.
At his Alma mater the University of the West Indies, he was the campus’ Guild of Students, President serving two consecutive terms unopposed. As Guild President, he was responsible for the executive management of student government at the campus, fiercely representing the interest of the student body.
Professionally, Kobe holds a Bachelor of Science with first-class honors in Public Sector Management with Law and a minor in International Relations and is currently pursuing an MSC in Strategic Leadership and Innovation.
In August 2023, Kobe was appointed an Alderman and member of the municipal council in the Point Fortin Borough Council, making him Trinidad and Tobago’s youngest member of council for this electoral term. Subsequently he was also appointed Chairman of the Council’s Security and Policing committee charged with providing policies to promote safety and security among the citizens in the borough.
Kobe has represented Trinidad and Tobago at various youth forums across the world due to his passion for youth development. He currently volunteers his time as a youth development influencer at the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service, and as a master in the Ministry of Sport and Community Development male empowerment program.
