Mihajlo Matković
Mihajlo Matković is a passionate youth advocate dedicated to non-formal education, peacebuilding, and youth engagement, with demonstrated leadership skills across various levels. He currently serves as one of Serbia’s UN Youth Delegates.
His commitment to promoting Sustainable Development and the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda has been driven by his focus on Quality Education (SDG 4) and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16). His participation in the Western Balkans Meet Japan (MIRAI) peacebuilding program, and especially the visit to Hiroshima, left a profound impact that has catalyzed his dedication to disarmament efforts.
Mihajlo has previously engaged in a number of the Council of Europe’s initiatives, including the campaign on 'revitalising democracy' and contributing to Human Rights Education. He has also participated as a junior trainer at two national COMPASS TCs. He was awarded the Diana Award, for his efforts and dedication to societal progress and youth engagement. Mihajlo studies English Language and Literature and is usually buried in books in between airports.
